This website is created and maintained by The Profit Clinic as a free public service to
small business owners who want their domain names to remain exclusively theirs.

WARNING!

The web hosts and web designers listed below have registered domain names in behalf of clients, at the request and expense of those clients, then refused, neglected or otherwise failed to transfer ownership of those domain names to those clients, or to re-delegate those domains to new hosts, without having adequately informed them of their intention prior to accepting payment and/or effecting registration of the clients' domain names. They have also failed to respond to our notice of intent to list them within the required 72 hour period.

This list of providers and designers is maintained as a public service so that clients and prospective clients can make informed decisions, in the knowledge that they may not obtain ownership of domain names registered through these webhosts and designers. While there may be no legal impediment to this practice by these web hosts and designers, we believe that clients and prospective clients have the right to be fully informed of the risk involved. Caveat emptor is not good enough in a truly professional business relationship. This service balances the scalesÚ caveat vendor.

Disclaimer

This list is provided as a free public service. Listing of a web host or web designer is in direct consequence of a documented case of them having registered a domain name on the client’s behalf and at the client's expense, then refusing to transfer ownership of that domain name to that client or to re-delegate to another host. The intention of this list is to alert clients and prospective clients of web hosts and web designers who have refused to transfer ownership of domain names, or to re-delegate, of this documented fact, so that the client or prospective client can make a fully informed choice. In this way, we hope to prevent misunderstandings and disputes over domain name ownership or re-delegation before they arise. No allegation of illegality or impropriety is made, implied or intended by such listing. It simply publishes documented historical fact.
