Simple,
powerful weapons for dealing with
ignorance, prejudice and malice
What on earth is a “knocker”?
A “knocker” is someone who’s part of the “Tall Poppy Syndrome” – that envious, self-defeating attitude that can’t bear to see anyone rising higher than the rest of the mediocre majority – so they feel justified in cutting any ‘tall poppies’ down to size. They delight in dumping on people in Network Marketing (MLM or Multi-Level Marketing) and Party Plan, especially those just starting out.
Sadly, they’re more often family and friends than complete strangers. And they have an appallingly high success rate. Not because they’re right, but because very few people have the factual answers to counter the ignorant, prejudiced or just plain malicious remarks thrown at them by the “knockers”.
What are “Knocker Shockers” and how do they work?
“Knocker Shockers” are nothing more than objective, rational facts. In the face of the ignorant, ill-informed, irrational, highly-emotional nonsense spouted by “knockers”, NOTHING is more shocking – or threatening – than fact.
So, next time one of these negative know-alls dumps on you or your new people, give ’em the facts. Cold, hard, rational, objective facts.
And that’s what you’ll find in the nine chapters reproduced right here on these pages. Learn them. Share them. Especially with your new people.
But understand this… when confronted by fact, rationality and objectivity, “knockers” will usually turn tail and run, often with a snide remark – the “fight-or-flight” reaction of those whose positions are rooted firmly in emotion. It’s almost impossible to persuade them that you’re right. So it makes little sense to even try. Your priority in using this ammunition against them is to shut them up… to stop them doing more damage, because “once bitten, twice shy”. They’ll think carefully before mouthing off in the future.
Note:
These “Knocker Shockers” are taken from the book “What You Should Know About MLM BEFORE You Join!” by John Counsel. You won’t find the entire book on the web, but you can purchase a soft cover copy through Small Business Books.
