Part 2 — The Three Realities

Like everything else in life, relationships are sabotaged by counterfeit reality… negative, undesirable attributes posing as positive and desirable in order to fool us and take advantage of us. In fact, nowhere else in life is this more prevalent than in human relationships — and network marketing suffers as much as any other area of human activity. Here are those three realities again…

The good thing about counterfeits in network marketing, though, is that they're so easy to recognise, because they're usually so blatantly obvious and ludicrous to anyone who understands how to identify them. You’ll see what I mean shortly.

I receive endless streams of e-mails, letters and phone calls from around the world asking my opinion of this opportunity or that, this “new” method or system, or this “revolutionary” reward plan. Over the years I've managed to build a pretty formidable reputation (100% accuracy) for forecasting which companies and MLM organisations will fail, and why, so I guess it’s hardly surprising that I get so many requests.

But it gets frustrating and discouraging at times when the same old scams and stupidity keep bobbing up in fancy new disguises, and people flock to join these latest, hottest get-rich-quick, ground floor opportunities — with the smoke still rising from their charred clothes and sooty faces… the legacy of being severely burned by the last one they scrambled to climb aboard in their mindless quest for the pot of gold at the end of the next rainbow.

So we’re going to look very closely at the process of building worthwhile relationships, and how to achieve the desirable ideal while avoiding the undesirable booby traps sitting in wait for us, and that only succeed in sinking us because we lack the three keys to success.

By the way, you rarely need to worry about the undesirable realities. They almost never present themselves as what they really are and, if they do, they’re so obvious you’ll fall over laughing.

What you won’t be laughing about is when those same undesirable realities bring you unstuck, costing you money, time, effort, damaged relationships, loss of integrity, destroyed reputation and rock bottom self esteem.

It happens EVERY DAY in network marketing!

On the next page we’re going to examine the basic relationship model and see why it works. Then we’ll look at the two realities — desirable and undesirable — and discover why the undesirable reality, which nobody in their right mind would want, is the most prevalent of the two, by a factor of more than 9 to 1.

Then we’ll take a long, hard, very close look at the counterfeit reality. But be warned… you’re going to be shocked by how familiar it is to you!
