How did you rate?
The truth is, almost anyone can build a successful Multi-Level Marketing business, providing they have the right motives, attitudes and behaviour. In other words, doing the right things… for the right reasons. Because the knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to achieve this can be acquired, they can be taught and learned. And you can be taught to teach them to other, dependent people, once you become independent yourself. The secret lies in obtaining reliable training.
That’s the real beauty of this Fourth Generation business system. It’s 100% duplicable.
Since so much of your potential success is dependent on your attitudes, the questionnaire was designed to pinpoint your personal attitudes to various issues that are important to success in this unique industry.
If you ticked mostly alternative A, you’re like most people starting out in Multi-Level Marketing… long on enthusiasm, but short on real understanding of why this business works. If you can’t acquire more reliable knowledge and perspective, and translate that into more substantial attitudes and behaviour, you’ll be in for a rocky ride, prone to doing the right things… but often for the wrong reasons. If you become sufficiently frustrated, there’s a danger that you begin to see the kinds of “quick fixes” outlined in this book as a way to help achieve results. Especially when you see others apparently succeeding with them.
Make no mistake… those band-aid treatments do produce results, but only temporarily. You’ll be putting your critically-important relationships — on which all success in MLM is built — in jeopardy by doing so. It’s not worth the risk. You’re better off purchasing some of the good training books and materials listed in Part Six and investing the time and effort to duplicate yourself as an effective leader — but only after you’ve mastered the essential knowledge, attitudes and skills!
If you ticked mostly alternative B, you can still make a success of Multi-Level Marketing — but you’ve got a long way to go in terms of motives and attitudes. Your responses indicate a First Generation, Win-Lose approach which will cost you dearly. Unless you can rehabilitate your attitudes to the kind of Fourth Generation approach required to succeed long term, your growth will be patchy, short-lived, and your frustration level will be very high.
If you ticked mostly alternative C, you should do very well — providing you can translate those incisive attitudes and perspectives into purposeful action that produces results. You seem to have a clear insight into what really drives this industry. The danger for you is that this insight may be based on intuition and “gut feeling”. If so, you may be doing the right things for not-quite-the-right reasons. Better to get a clear understanding of the principles. The training resources on this website will help.
Remember… everyone has the potential to become a successful Multi-Level Marketer. Whether or not that can be turned into measurable, profitable reality will depend to a marked extent on the quality of leadership and training they receive. To discover why this 90% of network marketers are pre-programmed to fail, even before they join, click here.
