Fourth Generation Thinking in network marketing
I’ve stated, repeatedly, here on this website, in my books and my magazine columns and feature articles, that network marketing is the only Fourth Generation Business System ever to evolve.
That makes it unique. And it also makes it unfamiliar territory for people conditioned to FIRST and SECOND generation business systems (click here for my MLM MasterClass on “How to Identify First, Second, Third and Fourth Generation Business Systems”). There are virtually no Third Generation business systems because so few people understand these crucial differences.
For people who understand Fourth Generation Thinking, network marketing is a revelation. They begin to see the Fourth Generation attributes that make it so unique in every aspect of the network marketing concept. It’s impossible for them not to become excited.
What disappoints and frustrates them, invariably, are the FIRST Generation principles, attitutes and methods that permeate its implementation in the real world, due to the ignorance of both the distributor networks and company managements throughout the industry. And the only way to change that is through education. A s-l-o-o-o-o-o-o-w, tedious process that just doesn’t sit comfortably with the majority of network marketers, who are driven by First Generation, Win-Lose, “Quick Fix” mentalities.
Why are they like this?
Because they know no better. It’s what they’ve been conditioned to perceive and believe. Nowhere is this misguided ignorance better exemplified than in the traditional Career Path.
