Fourth Generation Thinking provides training in the skills needed, such as who to and how to prospect, how to present, and we can continually hone and improve in these areas.

More importantly for me though, it has prompted me to question my underlying values, and motives for doing the business in the first place.

I had always congratulated myself on the fact that I was never recruited into any MLM. But in February 2000 I joined a red-hot, no-selling-no-rejection, exploding ground floor MLM opportunity. I jumped in with both feet and enthusiastically started on my "Just get 2" recruitment campaign. How could it be that hard? Before long I had recruited 7 people and in order to be an effective leader I searched the Internet for all the MLM resources I could find.

That is when I discovered The Profit Clinic. It took me days to find my way through. I had never seen this information before, anywhere! Not only were there resources and information for Network Marketing, but all the Business resources you could ever hope to see in one web site.

I read the Advanced Concepts section on Fourth Generation thinking, all the articles available and also subscribed to John'a newsletter.

Before long it became obvious to me that I hadn't a clue what I was doing! In fact, I didn't know the first thing about running a successful business, let alone Network Marketing. Needless to say my ground floor opportunity was starting to become a top floor drain of resources. No matter how much time and money I invested in my downline, the maths just wasn't working. But more than that, I had started to look at my business from a much more mature and informed perspective and I didn't like what I was seeing.

Instead of giving up and becoming anti-MLM I became more determined than ever to succeed. I just needed to find the right company and make the right decisions for the right reasons.

I can very honestly say that finding The Profit Clinic and John Counsel is one of those "life changing" experiences for me and my family. John and The Profit Clinic have made me a very different person from the reclusive mouse I was a year and a half ago. I've surprised myself many times – and surprised some of the people who were used to using me even more – by standing up for myself, saying NO when they were asking for more than I was prepared to offer.

This year and a half I've spent learning and absorbing so much information and sorting it and figuring out how to organize it properly so that I WILL build a NetWork Marketing organization that will pay well for me and for my downline and give us all great satisfaction in our relationships. I've learned how to work with the downline I have; and I am learning how to build bigger and faster and more surely.

Sometimes in the course of our lives we get so caught up in the day-to-day moments, that we just aren't able to step back and really SEE that "big picture" that everyone tells us about. Our lives reel forward with little semblance of direction or control, but as long as we can keep our heads out of the surf, we continue on.

Sometimes we lose it. We gasp for air and search frantically around to attempt to get our bearings and find something, ANYTHING, secure to seize hold of. We try to gather in our resources and stuff them into some kind of order in an attempt to right ourselves and bring order, such as it is, back into our lives. We try to FOCUS our emotional selves without being sure how to go about it exactly, just recognizing that it must be done.

Probably the single most useful tool to come across my computer screen in all my years of net surfing was an easy read sight called "Profitclinic". I don't really remember HOW I got there. Catchy name. Distraction. I began to poke around.

What I found was a wealth of information and inspiration and, perhaps more important than that, a written legacy that seemed to BE everything that I wanted to be. I read on.

It was like finding a detailed map. Where do you want to go? What do you want to accomplish? How can I make this work? It explores and defines the evolution of our relationships with others and, perhaps more importantly, with ourselves. We just can't be right with others if we aren't right with ourselves.

Therein lies the foundation of the Fourth Generation business. I would take it a step further and refer to it as a way of life, because I feel that the two are inextricably entwined.

What I found was a primer that has helped me not only in focusing in on my personal life, but has given me a confidence and calmness in my work place as well. The really neat thing about all this is, not only do I feel more settled and in control, others see it as well. The effect on people I come into contact with was so subtle and such a pleasant surprise to me that I didn't even realize what was happening.

Relationships evolving. All good things.

I can't speak highly enough of the wealth of information found at the Profit Clinic site. The principles are laid out simply and clearly, but the soul searching it will generate will last you a lifetime.

Read it for your business. Read it for YOURSELF!
